Concept

Our starting point

We set up “Kirikirikoku wo Sotto Ouensurukai” with the interested mates who we met in Kirikiri, Kamiheigunn Ootuchi town, Iwate prefecture in summer 2011. We realized sustainable support activity was necessary after we had set foot in the same disaster area by chance and we had seen the real there. Then we opened out to the people in this district and decided to continue our activity. We officially started our activity from January 2012 after getting ready little by little.

In June 2014, a few year passed after the disaster and local situation has changed. We have decided to spread our activity’s range with more cooperators. At that time we changed the name of this organization to “Sotto Ouensurukai”.

How we work

1. Take our time to act properly.
2. Take action little by little but for a long period of time.
3. Wherever we work, the local people should play the leading role in the activities. We always try to solve problems with them.
4. Create opportunities to meet more people who have the same ideas.
5. Embrace someone's idea and link it to others.
6. Link what a person can do to a social action in our society with our activities.

Content of our activity

■Volunteer activity

We work in the field as a volunteer. Also we coordinate volunteer’s activity,

We find our new comrades. We collect people sharing mind and fellows working together in the field.

■One coin campaign to raise funds 

-Through this campaign-

1. We send the local people the necessities of life for each occasion like delicious food, alcohols, books, entertainment etc. so that they can take a deep breath.
2. We send necessary tools for local work in the field and necessary equipment for volunteer’s work.
3. We collect donation (money, goods etc.) from the people sympathizing our activity.
4. Whoever can easily support the local people from even distant places.

■We plan and hold an event to contribute people’s vitality and smile.

■Malawi fund

Now our staff member is working in Malawi to improve local people’s live as JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer) from February 2015. We established “Malawi Fund” to contribute her activity and other programs.
