2019年8月24.25日に岩手県上閉伊郡大槌町吉里吉里にて行われた吉里吉里祭りの様子です。
これは吉里吉里小踊り連合会による踊りです。小躍りは震災以前は各町がそれぞれで実施していましたが、震災後は途絶えていました。それを今年は全町が揃って踊りを披露しました。
皆さんの楽しそうな踊りの様子に私達も元気をもらいました。
Ko-Odori, a dance performed by many dancers moving in unison and making the same gestures with the hands, was performed at Kirikiri festival some days ago.
This dance was performed separately by each town in Kirikiri area before the Tohoku Great earthquake, but it had stopped. Therefore, since the disaster this year is the first time to be able to see Ko-Odori by the dance association united with all the towns in Kirikiri area.
The reunited dance has definitely encouraged us for the bright future in Kirikiri area.

町内を駆け抜けてきた神輿が最後に神社の階段を登っていきました。
神輿の始まりと後わりを清める役割を担う鹿子踊が舞いながら見送ります。
この踊りには神輿に「どうぞ休んでください」との意味が込められているそうです。
After the Mikoshi was running around the town, it finally went back to the shrine.
Shishi dance, which take a role of purifying the beginning and ending of the festival, was running after the Mikoshi. It is said this dance means " Please have a good rest" to the Mikoshi.
