【マラウイ通信/Malawi letter】～ マラウイの子どもたちがJICA絵画コンクールに参加しました！/Malawian students joined an international drawing competition!

現在当会スタッフの一人がアフリカのマラウイ共和国にて、2015年2月から青年海外協力隊の一員として地域の生活改善に取り組んでいます。当会ではその活動やマラウイ支援の一助になるべく、2015年6月にマラウイ・ファンドを設立しました。

本日は先日お伝えしましたマラウイ・ファンドにて支援した現地の小学校が、JICA主催の絵画コンクールに参加したとの報告がありましたのでお伝えします。

昨年、マラウイ・ファンドでも支援した小学校の子どもたちがJICA関西主催神戸ビエンナーレ絵画コンクールに参加しました。

“Malawian students joined an international drawing competition!”

The primary school students in Rumphi district in Malawi got a chance to join JICA drawing competition in Japan last year. They received drawing materials through JICA and Malawi Fund so that almost 30 students were able to participate from 3 primary schools in Rumphi. Most of the students told us that they have motivated by this competition. We hope they will continue to be encouraged by art.
